Passion, compassion, generosity, greed, anticipation, regret, forgiveness, remorse, exhilaration, grief - this is the stuff of life. Whether we are leaving behind a home of thirty-two years, as did Jane’s parents, sacrificing a relationship to which we can't quite commit, like Ennis in Brokeback Mountain, grieving over loved ones lost which happens too often, celebrating the family we have and the true love we’ve found or just trying to find a sense of peace in this world, our hearts guide us through our lives. In mine, I have sweet remembrances of youth where we captured fireflies in a jar, played into the night on the one block street where we lived, and listened to music from the roller rink across from my grandparent’s house in their small town. These memories and the joy of living and loving each day help me find my peace in this life.
